While unconscious bias does not make you an inherently bad person, it can lead to accidental discrimination and poor decision-making. It means you need to work a little harder and make a conscious effort to unveil and address your personal biases.

The first step to reduce your biases is to recognize that you have them. In this micro course, you’ll learn five of the most common types of unconscious bias. You can use these five types to identify which biases you may harbor and how they affect others at work. The more you’re aware of your own biases, the more control you’ll have over them.
