Workplace diversity is a business buzzword. It’s a topic flooding media headlines and taking center stage during human resources meetings and candid office conversations. It’s an essential initiative—and for a good reason.

When it comes to innovation, creativity, and problem-solving, research consistently shows that diverse workforces perform better. But alone, diversity isn’t enough to make that type of headway. There are still two ingredients missing: inclusion and belonging. To create a strong performance culture, every employee—regardless of who they are—must feel included and accepted. They must feel like they belong to a team and that their opinion matters.

In this micro lesson, you’ll learn about the acronym DIBs, which stands for diversity, inclusion, and belonging. You’ll learn what these terms mean, why you need all three to achieve success, and what workplace benefits you can expect with a DIBs culture.
